COMMUNITY INFORMATION : The Larson Memorial Public Library

Go back

The Larson Memorial Public Library has been located in Pinetop-Lakeside, Arizona since the 1930's. With the support and dedication of the community they have been able to add many new commodities to the library.

The library has over 20,000 books, including large print, mysteries, westerns, and a large Arizona-Southwest collection. They also carry over three dozen periodical titles, computers with Internet access, audiobooks, videos, and much, much, more!

Weekly story time and other activites make the library fun for the kids, too. Held every Tuesday at 10:00, story time is full of fun, with songs, dancing, games, and crafts. If you miss the weekly story hour, you can also call the Dial-A-Story line 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, at 928-532-6048, to have a story read to you!

Their entire card catalog (in association with the other Navajo County public libraries) is now available on-line at http://www.navajoco.lib.az.us . Search the catalog, request materials from other libraries, even renew your books from home! For assistance in accessing your account for the first time, please contact them by phone at (928) 368-6688, or via e-mail at larsonlibrary@navajo.lib.az.us .
