Pinetop-Lakeside is an incorporated community located in the scenic White Mountains of Arizona. Founded in the early 1880's by Mormon pioneers, Lakeside derived its name from the area's lakes, and Pinetop derived its name from the nickname of a saloon keeper who served the Fort Apache soldiers. The Pinetop-Lakeside Chamber of Commerce hosts the Annual Fall Festival Arts & Crafts Show in September. This event is held at the new Pinetop-Lakeside Multi Use facility on Woodland Road. Hours are 9 to 5 pm Saturday and 9 to 4 pm Sunday. The Annual Fall Festival is a large arts and crafts show with over 150 artists in attendance. All arts and crafts must be handmade or handcrafted. The Pinetop-Lakeside Chamber of Commerce hosts the Annual Native American Art Festival in the month of July at Blue Ridge Elementary School. More than 80 of the Southwest's finest American Indian artists display and sell their handmade jewelry, paintings, rugs and other authentic Indian artwork. This is a juried event (only handmade items allowed). The original artist must be present. Native American Artists are encouraged to call the Chamber at (800) 573-4031 to have an application mailed to them.

The Pinetop-Lakeside Chamber of Commerce holds the Annual Bluegrass Music Festival in the month of August at Hon-Dah Resort and Casino. This festival features a number of well know Bluegrass bands. There are nightly jam sessions, arts and crafts booths, food booths and children’s activities.

The White Mountain Regional Development Corporation (WMRDC)
was founded in 1989 as a not-for-profit organization to facilitate economic growth and diversity for the southern Navajo County communities of Show Low, Pinetop-Lakeside, Snowflake, and Taylor. The WMRDC works closely with the White Mountain Partnership to maintain a regional website for tourism and also a website for economic development and relocation informaiton. (read more)

The Larson Memorial Public Library has been located in Pinetop-Lakeside, Arizona since the 1930's. With the support and dedication of the community we have been able to add many new commodities to the library. (read more)
